Allen Shoal is a set of rapids on Deep River downstream from the Brooklyn Avenue Bridge in Ramseur. One reference says the river drops 14 feet in a half mile here.¹²⁶ I haven’t been able to determine the exact location for it as some of the info I have is conflicting as to how far downstream from bridge it’s located. I’ll keep investigating.
