High Point City Lake Dam
!
High Point City Lake Dam backs up West Fork Deep River and East Fork Deep River and marks the beginning of Deep River. The dam was completed in the late 1920s. Adjacent to the dam is High Point City Lake Park, which features a large swimming pool, hiking trails, boating, amusement rides, and other family-friendly options.
The dam is plainly visible when entering the park, but a chain-link fence prevents you from making good photos. It’s too bad, as the dam is pretty cool.
Go to Learning>River Basins & Rivers>Cape Fear River Basin>Deep River for a listing of all the water sites along Deep River.
