Jones Falls is a set of rapids on Cape Fear River a short downstream from I-295 in Fayetteville. According to John Hairr, the falls are “virtually undetectable because they are under the backwater of Huske Lock.”²¹¹ I haven’t seen it, but the falls are clearly evident on Google Earth scans made during low water. The property here is private, so the only access is by water.

Hairr states that an early name for the falls was Long Falls.
