North CarolinaNC Waterfalls

Raccoon Falls is a rapid on Cape Fear River, somewhere in the vicinity of Fayetteville. I haven’t been able to pinpoint exactly where on the river it is. Hair says it’s under the backwater of, I assume, William O. Huske Lock and Dam, but it’s possible that it may be partially visible during periods of very low water. It’s also possible that it may be accessible from Cape Fear River Trail. I need to do more research.
