Undisclosed waterfall no. 1
!
Although this waterfall is on public property, I’m not disclosing its location for various reasons. It’s one of only three waterfalls on this website that existed in some natural form but was altered due to mining operations. (The other two are Bon Ami Falls and Uwharrie Falls.)
A cool feature of this one is that it not only was created by blasting, but the adit for the horizontal portion of the mine is located right beside the waterfall. Downstream from the falls is a mini canyon that was created from the mining. It appears the miners started digging in the creek bed and as they worked their way upstream, the waterfall got higher and the canyon deeper.
It's quite a remarkable place.

The adit for the horizontal portion of the mine is the little black blob to the right of the falls near the top. (007I-207184)
